Peanut Proud, the peanut industry’s charitable organization, is stepping up once again to support communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. With generous contributions from industry partners, Peanut Proud is distributing much-needed peanut butter to food banks and relief organizations across the Southeast.

This week, pallets of peanut butter jars are being sent to various locations to support those in need. Key recipients include Feeding Northeast Florida in Jacksonville, Bread of the Mighty in Gainesville, and 2nd Harvest in Valdosta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally, local organizations like First Baptist Church in Blakely, GA, and Peanut Butter and Jesus Ministries in Douglas, GA, are also receiving donations.

These contributions have been made possible thanks to the generosity of groups like Texas Peanut Producers, American Peanut Council, American Peanut Shellers, American Peanut Growers Group, and the National Peanut Buying Points Association, among others. Their support helps Peanut Proud continue its mission of providing nutritious peanut butter to families in need, offering not only sustenance but also a symbol of hope and community spirit.

With this latest effort, thousands of jars of peanut butter will be making their way to those who need them most, serving as a reminder of the power of community and the peanut industry’s commitment to giving back.
